Filippo Bisotti

Filippo Bisotti was born on 6th September 1994 in Crema (CR). He earned his MSc degree in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico with a thesis project dealing with modelling of physical properties, swelling and drug delivery in crosslinked poly-acrylic acid-based hydrogels (supervisors prof. Filippo Rossi and prof. Giuseppe Storti). Starting from November 2018, he is attending the PhD course at PoliMi (Supervisor prof. Flavio Manenti) and his interest is mainly focused on the development of DLL and thermodynamic packages for the prediction of thermodynamic properties of complex mixtures to be used in the simulation environment (Aspen Hysys V10).

Research fields and interests

  • C++ and Matlab coding
  • Advanced thermodynamics for complex mixtures (cryogenic, amines and electrolytes)
  • Thermodynamics applied to process simulation (Aspen Hysys and Aspen Plus)
  • Transport phenomena
  • Pollutants Abatement Systems
  • Amines washing and other technologies for CCSU
  • Pilot Plants Modelling
  • Dynamic simulation
