Francesco Rossi was born in 1989 in Monza (MB), Italy. He earned a MSc degree in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in October 2013; the graduation thesis, entitled “Nuovo approccio integrato all’ottimizzazione di reti di impianti chimici per la produzione di gas tecnici” and developed in collaboration with Linde Gas Italia S.r.l., proposed a novel optimization-based technique for the simultaneous optimal management of supply-chain and production plants usage and its C++ implementation. He is now attending a PhD program, started in November 2013, in Politecnico di Milano, with the aim of developing a C++ library for the Anthony’s pyramid optimization, including real-time optimization and optimal control, supply-chain, scheduling and planning tools; the PhD thesis expected title should be “A C++ library for Anthony’s pyramid dynamic management and optimization”.
